Boo Baskets are such a fun tradition! Every October I surprise the girls with a little basket of festive, spooky things.

I compile things from everywhere and anywhere: Dollar Tree, Walmart, Target and Amazon! With my girls being so young I usually stick to cheaper things found in the dollar bins and they love them just as much as the more expensive items so I buy the cheaper items exclusively now! haha I’ve found super cute things at Oriental Trading, Etsy, Five Below and Smith’s too! One day I would love to add nicer things that the girls can keep and aren’t so cheap and “flimsy”, but this works for us right now.

This year I filled cat bowls from Dollar Tree with a Halloween Hello Kitty shirt for both girls, Halloween ducks (Target dollar bin), Cow Tails and Air Heads (Dollar Tree), light up pumpkin decor (Dollar Tree), window clings (Target dollar bins), cat bubble wands (Target dollar bins), spider rings (Dollar Tree), clear skeleton box full of candy from Trader Joe’s and Dollar Tree, books and activity books (Dollar Tree), and a light up witch light to hang on their trick or treat bags on halloween night (Target Dollar bins). Here are some previous baskets, I love to give them things that they are interested in and adjust it to what they like during that time in their lives: 2021 and 2020.

Eventually I would love to give the girls things that they could use year after year but right now these little things are working for our budget and the girls so I think it’s woking pretty well!

Violet is starting to really notice and be involved in everything and I think it’s so adorable that she wants to be just like her older sister Liv! I love it! She loved that she got her own basket with everything, just like Liv. I’ve had to learn that the hard way.

I always like adding some not so spooky books in their baskets too! This time I found them at Dollar Tree but I’ve found them on Amazon, Walmart or really anywhere! You can see our Halloween book collection HERE, I’ll post a new round up of books soon.

We love books and always try to add a new book or two every holiday/season to add to our collection!

i think this picture is so funny of Violet with her Cow Tail in one hand haha! Oh and don’t forget this is very first thing in the morning too! haha She loves her treats! Another fun year of Boo Baskets in the books! I love that this tradition could be a fun new book, trinket and halloween treat, a basket full of things from the dollar store, or a basket full of things from boutiques and Etsy! You can choose what works for you and your family! At the end of the day it’s all about celebrating these fun days with your kids!
