Started my birthday month with a not so fun appointment downtown followed by one of my favorite things, BAGELS at a new to us place, Bagel Project. It was delicious!
We had a couple fun activities in Activity days! Including a fun Fashion Ghouls Day lead by another leader where the girls decorated sunglasses with Halloween beads and letter beads then dressed up as ghosts with cute bows, pumpkins and their fun sunglasses and cheap white plastic table cloths. So cute and fun, another leader planned this activity and the girls loved this! We also had another activity combined with the boys for a Halloween/Fall Carnival. Full of Fall and Halloween fun, games, and treats! The kids could wear their Halloween costumes if they’d like. I opted to buy this candy corn bowling set to use for this activity and Liv’s class party and have for years to come!
I was a bit tired of sharing my favorite tumbler with my girls so I got them their own. haha These kids tumblers are SO cute and the perfect size for them! They seriously drink so much more water and I do too! I love mine and use it every single day!
We have been loving our Friday Night Pizza Movie Nights like usual. This pesto pizza was delicious! I shared our favorite pizza night finds HERE!
Boo Baskets happened, along with General conference as well as our favorite Rhodes cinnamon rolls with our favorite hack of putting a tiny bit of heavy whipping cream on the bottom of the pan the night before you put them in the fridge. It makes for the best cinnamon rolls ever!! We also did our General Conference bags and the girls loved it! Find more on that tradition HERE! We also had Papa’s crepes of course!
Cannot believe we are already at the end of 2024! We had some fun Harry Potter movie night treats like this sweet prophecy-a Kneaders chocolate mousse dome. Some fun after school snacks for the girls, V filling up her car like she’s a teen, seasonal scrunchies for ballet, V has a morning routine that includes candy and cartoons hahaha i can’t have her do anything else!
Birthday treats at one of our favorite donut shops, painting pumpkins! Liv made a Gamora pumpkin (from Guardians of the Galaxy) and Violet painted hers until it got dark out.
Our green shake fits right in during October!
Liv and Violet had a little Halloween Sugar Cookie Decorating Party for a few friends. They had SO much fun! Hopefully this will become a yearly tradition!
Our spooky candy salad was the best yet! Perfect mix of sweet and sour!
Couldn’t miss the witches at Gardner Village! Celebrate the life of my sweet Great Uncle Don. Decorated more cookies with cousins and had a pizza night later!
We LOVE caramel apple night in our house! It’s so much fun and SOOO delicious! Each year I’m so so pleasantly surprised with how delicious it is! The key is THIS caramel!!
Sundays with my little family are always a bit chaotic but I do love them. Violet still does sit the majority of the time in her camping chair (yay!) and always love a good doodle board (this one is on major sale!). With my Dad’s Angelversary approaching I have had so many thoughts and feelings. A talk in church really stood out to me and someone shared this poem found while he was cleaning the church. Grief is so hard.
Shared my Texas Sheet Cake recipe!
Love going to Wheeler Farm at this time of year, and to the Temple Quarry to see the leaves (gotta remember jackets next year!!).
The girls spent so much time on this Halloween gingerbread house, it was so sweet! i love my house decorated for the holidays! The girls walking home from school! I thought it was so crazy I was still getting roses blooming fairly late in October! This year was surprisingly hot. I counted it as a little love note from some angel 🙂
Boo Lights is always so fun! This time we went with cousins! At one of the activities they were giving out random animals to the kids, Liv got a meerkat-one of Papa’s favorite animals. We thought that was so cool and definitely a little reminder of Papa! Violet was so sad the Mountain Lions weren’t coming up to her then all of a sudden they did and wouldn’t stop, another “coincidence” i think :). Love looking for the angels in our life!
Dallin had a work trip for a few days and we missed him so much!! We decided to surprise him with a little poster and some of his favorite treats! We love THESE poster markers and large white paper to make posters like this!
Liv had her Fun Run at school and Violet loved cheering her on! Until she wanted to be just like Liv and run with her! Dallin ran with her, until he found a kid that was having a hard time and walked with him the rest of the way. Love that thoughtful guy! She was super positive this time which I loved! Violet got to cross the finish line too and everyone cheered for her which she loved!
Halloween ballet, birthday freebies, my first real life adult spa experience! Haha i feel so spoiled! more roses from my garden, Spooky Ooky!
The girls and Dallin planned me a chocolate themed birthday party! It was so much fun and so delicious! I loved every detail!
For my birthday Dallin, Violet and I went to a new bakery, went shopping and had lunch together! Trick or treating at Dallin’s work, Trunk or Treating at church and School parades and Trick or Treating at Grandma’s. We started a witches brew tradition that we hopefully keep up! It was so delicious!
We went with a Toy Story theme for Halloween, Dallin was Woody, I wore a Bo Peep Tee, Liv was Bo Peep, and V was a sheep! Love every day with this sweet family of mine!
