This “Wedding Week” is turning into a Wedding Wrap Up, but that’s ok! This post is all about the FOOD at our reception. All of our favorite things. We had big dreams of a pizza truck or Pizzeria Limone, but things add up quickly when you’re planning a wedding so decided on a few smaller options!
Starting with our cake(s)! I love the look of a few different cakes so we opted for our favorite cakes-Nothing Bundt Cakes! All different flavors and one bundtlet that Dallin and I cut. It turned out so well. It’s so fun too because now every anniversary we don’t have to special order a cake from a baker we can go right in store and pick up a bundtlet or two and have the same exact cake we had at our wedding! We also opted to cut the cake before the guests came to save some time for more dancing! It worked out really well! I put the different cakes on some of my favorite cake stands that I still have to this day. HERE are some similar cake stands!
The wedding cake was right next to the Soda Bar! This was such a fun element of our reception. Complete with cold canned soda, ice, syrups, heavy cream, whipped cream, lemon and lime wedges this soda bar was fun for all ages! I loved how my cute caterer and her team had chalkboard labels on all the syrups, special containers for the heavy whipping cream, the cutest drink cooler, and arranged the table in the most adorable way possible, basically I love everything she did!!! Linda Madsen is a party queen! I linked similar Soda Bar things to mine that you can find HERE!
Donuts are such a fun treat for our family and love story we knew we wanted to incorporate them in our big day! Dallin had our favorite Beyond Glaze donuts during our proposal, so we naturally wanted to have donuts inspired by their shop at our wedding! Psst they now have a cookbook and it is total GOLD! Another home run from our caterer, she totally nailed every donut and even saved a box with every flavor for Dallin and I and put it in the car for us to take on our honeymoon, so we could try them all too. They were all SO good! Shop some similar Donut Bar finds HERE!
Another fun component of our reception was the Candy Bar! We had our favorite candy and coordinating candy in our wedding colors. It was so special, my mother in law and sister in law made the most amazing truffles that were on the candy table too! We had so many different jars and containers filled with fun candy, cotton candy made with my in laws cotton candy machine (similar linked) earlier that week and placed in small bags, and custom stickers to close off their own treat bag. I loved that it was another customizable experience guests could have and remember at our reception! Find similar links to our Candy Bar HERE!
Loved our reception so much! If you’d like to look back on our Wedding Week…I mean Wrap Up haha it took far longer than a week. You can find everything below!
